I am the sort of person who loves reading travel guides. When I plan a vacation I take careful inventory of the travel books available, and take great pleasure in my "travel guide" section of my bookshelf. I have even been known to read a travel book without any forseeable plans to actually travel!
This guide to Ireland is the best by far (and remember, I know, I've read quite a few!). Rick Steves provides relevant and interesting information for your travel needs. His book comes across as more of a friendly travel blog than a book attempting to sell you something. He expresses his passion for travelling Ireland and gives you the tips and hints you need for a succesful trip.
If you are shopping around for an Ireland guide, even if you haven't bought your plane tickets yet, BUY RICK STEVES!
