I enjoyed Kiss of Fire, with all first books of a series, there was alot of storyline and "foundation building" but the premise of the story is good and not to hard to get into and doesn't stop you from getting to the real story.

This isn't a dark series, the bad guys are bad without being nightmarish and the good guys are rugged and complicated without having such dark pasts that you feel the need to call your own therapist after finishing the story. Strong female character that I really enjoyed, smart and a key element.

This is a well written story that includes some really great dragon battles and a wonderful romance that you feel is well won at the end. I am looking forward to the next books in the series. If you have read Alexis Morgan's Paladian's you will enjoy this series.
