Completely gripping memoir of the author's life up through the teen years. His mother is completely wacko and totally self absorbed. His father is basically non-existent. He ends up living with his mother's shrink and the shrink's crazy "family". It's wild, weird, funny, heartbreaking and, what's most astonishing, true.
