For a first time author, this book is good! I met the author at a local event at my favorite indie book store in San Diego. She's a funny as she writes. The story had me guessing to the end - lots of interesting characters in the book. Some you get to know well, others are periphery but add value (or red herrings) to the plot. Corrie is a lawyer but previously helped her dad out doing private investigating. Only a hint of prior life here but defintiely a back story waiting to happen. Love that there are two men, equally sexy, intriguing and interesting in her life. Which one does she really like? Hmmm. The dialogue is true-life witty, snarky, mean, funny, cute depending on who Corrie is talking to. A lot of funny dialogue happens in her head as well. I hope there are more books to come and this becomes a series. Her work place is quirky (movie production - kids movies) and the characters are crazy - people I would like to know!
