Action, adventure and romance in early America! I really enjoyed these stories with their unique characters and all that they went through. Their circumstances were difficult, but they managed to come to realize how God works all things for good, and see His hand working in their lives, which gave them hope and courage. Loved the settings of early frontier Indiana, and colonial Williamsburg. The insertion of French and Native language phrases, along with descriptions of frontier dangers, made the first tale feel like a real piece of history. The intrigue in the second added a lot to the story too, keeping me guessing until the clues came together. Reminded me of a cross between the movie Unconquered and the series Garrow's Law.
Recommend to readers who enjoy historical romances with an inspirational thread.
