I noticed this book some time ago, and I finally decided to give it a shot. I found it to be an okay read. It kept my interest for a while, but I found myself skimming as the story seemed to drag on. The author leaves a lot unanswered about her heroine (if you want to think of her as one - I found some of her actions/choices to be questionable). She is obviously setting the stage for the sequel, but I don't know if I'll be reading it. As it is, I'm kind of glad I didn't pay money for this one, and I sure won't be picking up the sequel at the bookstore.
