I do not usually like books with a highschool setting, but this was well written and enjoyable. The characters are a little saccharin for my tastes but thats fine, too.
My biggest problem is that I would get engrossed in the story until they would bring up his age. This is a ninety-something year old vampire dating a seventeen year old girl. It would kick me out of the story everytime.
I would have to put it down and come back later until I got the nasty taste out of my mouth from contemplating that.
Their relationship was not a mystery to me. Any ninety year old man would find a pretty seventeen year old girl that was obsessed with him unresistable too. For me that was a real YUCK factor that I couldn't overcome.
