First of all, WTF does Mwwwwhahahah mean? The author used it 3 times on one page. Secondly, the cover photo didn't look anything like the hero. Smoke has waist-length black hair not short hair. Someone obviously didn't read the first chapter of this book.

This is unlike any shifter novel I've read. Smoke (hero) has three distinct personalities - amnesia boy (David), Smoke (demi-god, warrior), and Cat (shifter). He's more like a schizophrenic than a shifter which was very disconcerting for Eva, our heroine and the reader. Smoke is supposed to be a warrior who protects earthlings but he acts like this is his first trip. I didn't find his attitude/behavior sexy at all, just caveman-like.

While there were tons of hot sex scenes, they were all identical. He ate her, she sucked him, they f**ked. Repeat as necessary. Definitely lacked creativity. I can see this scenario once or twice but again and again. Come on.

I totally forgot that this series had a Merlin/Avalon connection so here was the fourth book this month revolving around this storyline. This incantation had Merlin as a werewolf and Guinevere a vampire. Merlin controlled the actions of the werewolves and Guinevere had control of the vamps. Interesting concept.
