I felt this was a steamy historical with an almost too perfect happy ending. The main characters are compelling. Honora is unusual because she has secretly trained with her father's men and can wield a sword. Ewan was fostered under her father and returns all grown up to wed Honora's sister. There was a frustrating period while they tried to resist each other followed by their connecting with each other while on the run from Honora's dead husband's evil son. I truly enjoy the escape romances provide and am pretty good at "suspending my disbelief" but this one pushed the limits for me. It wasn't bad by any means, just a little more unbelievable than I expected.
