Deanna Reynolds is an up-and-coming young news anchor in Chicago. Angela Perkins is a popular veteran talk show host who begins to mentor Deanna. She sees her as bright, beautiful, and a possible competitor in the tough field of women television stars. Angela's cutthroat tactics drive Deanna to break from her shadow and forge a career of her own.
