Book Review of A Love to Keep

I needed a light Christian romance to leaven the heavier topics I have chosen lately. But the premise of this novel was eerily similar to that of Gail Gaymer Martin's Upon a Midnight Clear: a young, single nanny cares for a girl who hasn't spoken since her mother's tragic death, and in the process, not only does she help the girl to speak again, she also falls in love with her employer, and they marry. Thankfully, this book was far superior to Martin's. Rutledge focuses on Lori and Drew's relationship and not on the details of the daily care of a child, which are already familiar to anyone who has cared for children. Sequel to Kiss Me, Kaitlyn.
