A great book, one of the best-known books on the history of American quilting. A guide to more than two centuries of quiltmaking. Book has 3 parts: (1)history & quilt patches, (2)quilts-antique & modern and (3) quilting & quilting designs. Picture with design details: Log cabin, baby blocks, whig rose, postage stamp,roman stripe, brick work, zig-zag, rail fence, chinese star, twinkling stars, rose bud, Lucinda's Star, Morning-glories, Bleeding heart, Cornucopia, Grandmother's garden, and many, many other quilt designs. The book is a great quilting treasure for the quilter; a nice collector's book, or a gift for the quilter.
