A woman whose life is at a crossroads meets a man in a Florida bar who tells her what she wants to hear -- she's sexy, smart, adventurous. She quits her job and joins him on a road trip and gets ready for the ride of her life. But the man has only one destination in mind -- a run-down Ohio house on Mad River Road, where he expects to get his vengeance at last. A very good, involving, suspenseful read. I enjoy most of Joy Fielding's books, this is one of her best.
