Richard Chizmar returns to his hometown just as a curfew is enacted and a neighborhood watch is formed. Preparing for his wedding and embarking on a writing career, he soon finds himself thrust into a real-life horror story. Richard writes a personal account of the serial killer reign of terror, unaware that these events will continue to hound him for years to come. This is a clever, terrifying and heartrending work of metafiction. It is a marriage between horror fiction and true crime. The fact that this is made-up fiction is very shocking but very unique. I loved this book and would like to thank Richard for this overwhelming experience. I will definitely be reading another book by him.
