A wonderful book about the budding romance of a girl who came from a broken home; a mother who worked medial jobs to make ends meet and married men just to improve her daughter's life. Until she meets Neil, who Leah slowly warms up to. As Leah struggles to accept the fact that she is probably the only sixteen year old girl who has to check herself into the hospital for a broken finger while her mother and Neil are away celebrating their honeymoon, she meets an Amish family through her six year old roommate, Rebekah.
Rebekah has a hunky older brother Ethan who is as taken with Leah as she is with him. How will they be able to overcome their separate worlds- the English and the Amish to pursue a romance?
This book shows the power of young love, gives a wonderful insight into Amish beliefs and traditions, and watches Leah's struggle with coming to terms with her mother- mostly thanks to Neil and blunt honesty.
A wonderful book that will captivate you as you read, and reinforce your faith that angels are always watching and will lift you back up when you just can't find the strength.
I did not want to put this book down! It's a wonderful 3 part book that just keeps the reader wanting to flip to the next page while giving you something to chew on before you do.
