Stella is working as a bartender in a Miami nightclub when a stranger saves her from her bosss unwanted advances by knocking said boss out. The trouble is that her now ex-boss is connected to the mob and he and his goons arent prepared to forget Stella and her hero so easily.

Ex- Marine Beau is sent by an old friend to find Stella to reunite her with her long lost sister, Sadie. Stella has known about her older sister her whole life; she has always known Sadie was the one her father loved, while Stella was the one he ignored. Traveling from Miami to Lovett, Texas with the sexy Marine while she gathers her nerves turns out to be more than she bargained for.

I practically adore everything Rachel Gibson writes and this book is lovable. It felt shorter than most of her books, of course that could be due to the fact that I couldnt put it down and ended up reading it in one night. I liked the tough Beau and the awkward Stella. I liked how their views on life and love were very much the same even though they both have very dissimilar backgrounds. I liked the fact that they really got to know each other in the few days they were alone together in cars and hotel rooms. They learned to read each other fairly quickly and all of it was endearing.

This book wasnt the deepest of reads, but it was definitely satisfying. It kept me turning the pages long after my body begged for sleep and it has me yearning to read Blakes story and catch up with Sadie and Stella and Lovett, Texas, quicker than I am sure Ms. Gibson can write. It was fast paced and tender hearted and left me smiling.
