Water for elephants is a great story about an elderly man who is re-living his past. His story is good, and I almost hated to see him "return" to his life in the nursing home when his musings were finished. My heart went out to him, and the author really made him come to life. It was a good reminder that the elderly get very lonely and long for the days when they could get up and run...

Word of caution: This book contained a few scenes of sexuality that were more graphic than I am comfortable with.
