This unassuming child's cookbook has been in my family for over 20 years and I have yet to find recipes as wonderfully easy yet complex in flavor. The Peachy Beef Stew is a staple for when I'm expecting a crowd and always gets rave reviews. Other great dishes include Chicken Pot Pies, chili con carne, crunch-top tuna casserole and meatloaf frosted with mashed potatoes and topped with melted cheese. It also includes a great assortment of basic and child-friendly foods like burgers, hot dogs, personal pizzas, sandwiches; a good section on side dishes like honey glazed carrots, vegetable soup, baked beans and various salads. The bread chapter includes jam filled muffins, corn bread, pancakes, French toast. A special treat chapter includes shakes, cocoa, cider, fruit pops and fruit juice Jello, among others. Whether you're a mom looking for delicious healthy food your kids will eat, a college student looking for quick and easy meals or a child learning how to cook, you'll find something to love in this book. P.S. - I'm not posting my book because I can't part with it.
