Summary:
Gunner Hansen, the actor who played Leatherface in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre tells his story of how the movie was made. He talks about the low-budget, crazy hours, cast and crew relationships, and sometimes dangerous stunts. It is a true behind-the-scenes novel.

My thoughts:
Honestly, I am a horror fan. I love how the genre evolves. I love how writers come up with the most off the wall things and then pull it off on screen. This look at how movie makers achieved a classic film with relatively no money is a gem for any horror fan. Also, if you get a chance to listen to the audiobook, then Hansen narrates it as well. You actually get to hear Leatherface talk! Every horror fan needs to grab this book. Every possible film maker needs to grab this book. It honestly gives a lot of detail on how to make a great film without a ton of money, and the sacrifices everyone made in the process. Since film students often flock to low budget film making for their final projects, this can offer tips on how to make people actually want to watch.
