I have to say that this one was my favorite in the series so far. It was a great light-hearted paranormal romance.
Jo flees D.C. and takes a job in New Orleans after the man she was involved with admits to being married. her two best friends had recently made The Big Easy their new home and found love with two hot lampirs. Jo is not lokking for love, she is trying to out run her past. She gets a job as a director of a community center that helps with underprivileged kids.
Maksim has not been able to get Jo out of his head since meeting her at Vittorio and Erika's wedding. He is annoyed that the woman wants nothing to do with him, which is odd because being a demon he exudes sex appeal. To get closer to her, he fudges a resume and begins working with the kids at her community center.
Jo starts having weird visions of her dead sister and turns to Maksim for comfort, which he is all too happy to give.
I loved this story and am hoping there is going to be another one in this series. If you have read the other books in the series you will like this one too.
