A typical Nancy Thayer beach novel-not that there's anythng wrong with that!Best friends since childhood, Keely and Isabelle grow apart, but the bond is still there. A lot of things didn't really make a lot of sense in the characters interactions with each other.Just enjoy it for what it is.
