A love letter to Venice. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I believe Ms. Phillips did an incredible amount of research and spun a great story from little known historical facts. I liked the characters and our flawed heroine is sassy and smart. The ending is satisfying and it also sets up an opening for another book, The Devlin Diary. I have already ordered it. A little slow at first but it will not take long to draw you in. Enjoy, I did.
