I'm a fan of the show and picked up this book to see how it influenced the series. The characters are WAY different and it's almost an entirely different world. But I love crime fiction, especially smart crime fiction, and this definitely fits the bill. The detection and science in this one was fascinating and I flew through it in less than two days. I have read a couple of Reichs' other Bones books and liked them, but they are not going to fill the void if you want to read something like the show.
