This is by far one of my favorite novels of all time. If you saw the movie...it just doesn't come close to doing it justice. I have read and re-read this book more times than I can remember. Wonderfully written about the loves, struggles, accomplishments, and sorrows of a woman who was once a poor young girl sold by her parents into slavery.
