It has been a long time since I read a Colleen Hoover book. Tonight I decided that I need to buy one every couple of months just to remind myself how much I like them. Reminders of Him made me feel so many emotions, not all of them good ones. I really resented Kenna for a lot of the chapters, felt frustrated with her expectation and passive demands -- after all, someone took care of her daughter for her for YEARS and then she wanted to invade that? But then I thought of her situation from a mother's perspective...and thought of Grace's situation....and even though it was messy and painful, it felt very genuine and authentic. For a novel, anyway! I'm not a crier, but found myself a sobby mess at the end of this one.
