Book Review of The Wednesday Letters

The idea behind the book was really neat. A husband and wife die on the same day and their children discover a treasure trove of letters their father has written to their mother over the years.

I was expecting the family to uncover more family secrets or to discover the richness of their parents' relationship. While one secret was uncovered, I felt like the story just didn't live up to its full potential. The story is also Christian fiction, masquerading as general fiction, which you don't see very often.

All in all, it's a quick read that doesn't require a lot of concentration from the reader. It would be a fine book to read at the beach, or for someone who is looking for a wholesome book with no bad language, sexual innuendo, etc.
