One of my favorite series, set in Regency England, with a retired calvary officer, Capt. Gabriel Lacey, as the protagonist. This time he takes a position as secretary in a boy's school, and of course, someone is murdered and he has to sort it out with the help of his friend, Grenfeld. 4th in the series, but I think enjoyable even if you haven't read the others.
