I am giving RA 4.5 stars -- it's better than the average post-apocalyptic zombie novel, but not great. It has an interesting character in the female lead, and it doesn't suffer from "I know too much about what's going on" -itis, like many of these books do. On the other hand, the supporting cast is not very well fleshed out. The beginning is a bit slow to pick up speed, but by the end it is firing on all cylinders, and the last 30 pages are very very good.

I look forward to reading the sequel.
