Esther Jackson needed protection. She received a letter and phone call from the father that she helped put in prison for murder. Now she has turned to her nearest neighbor, rancher Craig Nighthawk, for help.

This book is part of Lee's Conard County series. If you've never read any books in this series, you won't have a problem. As a stand alone title, this book is pretty good. But I felt like I had read this story before. It's so much like a couple of the previous books in the series. This is the 10th book in the series and it feels like the author has run out of story ideas.
