Book Review of Dewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World (Audio CD) (Abridged)

A delightful little book, the story of a kitten dumped into a book return slot on the coldest night of the year, raised by the library staff and adopted and loved by the whole town. Dewey is truly an amazing animal, with the capacity to love everyone who would accept his love. The book gets off to a slow start, with a lot of exposition about the town of Spencer and local history, until you're ready to shout, "Get to the cat already!" but that's my only criticism of the book. The rest of the story is well timed, engaging and even poignant.
