This is a medieval historical mystery set in the time of William the Conqueror, who sends out Ralph Delchard and Gervase Bret to investigate the complaints about entries into the Domesday Book. The Domesday Book series is "inspired by actual entries in the Domesday Book". Sent out to investigate a claim, the King's men find that the claimant has been savaged and killed by a wolf, or is it murder?
