It's been a while since I read this and I decided to read it again, this time with my husband. I just wanted to add my review because it wasn't getting the praise it should.
Yes, it's a bit graphic. The world doesn't play around with all the sexual propaganda they throw at us and this book doesn't play around in calling it like it is. If you want PRACTICAL advice on how to train yourself to avoid most temptation, this is a great book. They give real examples of temptation, and how to avoid them. Things like, BOUNCE your eyes. You cannot avoid seeing a woman running down the street in a revealing outfit, but you can train your eyes to "bounce" from that image as soon as possible.
I don't think they discount deliverance and the power of God working in us to help us with these battles, they just cover how a man can avoid falling into most traps to begin with. And yes, it's a two letter ugly word most people like to avoid called "self control."
I highly recommend this book and the one for women, Every Woman's Battle.
