The first book in the series in which Queen Elizabeth II secretly solves crimes while carrying out her royal duties.
It is the spring of 2016 and Queen Elizabeth is at Windsor Castle in advance of her 90th birthday celebrations. Maksim Brodsky, a Russian pianist, is found dead. The Queen has been solving crimes since her teenage years as Lilibet with help from her Assistant Private Secretary, Rozie Oshodi. SJ Bennett captures Queen Elizabeth's voice with skill in this imaginative and engaging mystery that portrays Her Majesty as she's rarely seen: kind yet worldly, decisive, shrewd, and, most important, a superb judge of character. The book was fast-paced and kept me guessing until the surprise ending. There is lots of fun banter between Prince Philip and Lilibet. Jane Copland is the audiobook narrator who did a great job. The 2nd book in the series is A Three Dog Problem which will be published 11/11/21. If you are a fan of The Royal Family then you will enjoy this one!
