This book was a very quick read and has a lot of the same elements of Near Death Experiences written about by others. This book obviously is very geared toward the charismatic church that Roberts Liardon is a part of. It is less of an NDE book and more of an Out of Body Experience book since he did not die nor was he ill when he travelled on this spiritual journey. His insights are very unique, though, and it is a very interesting read that will no doubt bring comfort to those who are hurting. Those who enjoy this book will understand it a bit more if they have read Dr Michael Newton's books "Journey of Souls" and "Destiny of Souls" which are two books written based on what patients under hypnosis have told Dr Newton about their life in the Spirit World. I always read these books with some skepticism and from a scientific viewpoint, but it is amazing how much of the material keeps coming up again and again in books about Near Death Experiences and books about mediums who are able to communicate with other's loved ones. This book highlights that every religion on Earth should not be judged greater or lesser because each one has elements of truth and will reach different people who need it along their spiritual paths.
