Solid anthology. I am about to begin the process of reading a lot of Forgotten Realms/Ravenloft/RPG related works and so I thought one of the best places to start would be some of the early anthlogies - like this one.

I think the best stories were: "Patronage" (well done story regarding one of the previous characters from the "Empires Trilogy"), "King's Tear" (a very evil necromancer vs. a novice cleric...how can you go wrong?), "The Curse of Tegea" (a great tale with characters and events following the "Avatar Trilogy"), and "Dark Mirror" (a first person story of Drizzt Do'Urden by R.A. Salvatore - probably the best story of the book). Other great stories was "One Last Drink", "A Virtue by Reflection", and "The Family Business". Of note to you Elminster junkies - there is a tale for you in "Elminster at the Magefair" also.

All the stories were worth reading at least once, and most of them were around 30 pages in length. There was only 11 stories in total, but there was a lot of variety in those stories. I give this collection 3 stars out of 5, and I will be reading the other "Realms" anthologies over the next several weeks.

Look at my other reviews if you liked this one and please remember to give me a "thumbs up" on any that you read. Also, for those RPG fans out there, my reviews will be almost exclusively on RPG based literature.
