Wow. As a wife of a soldier, this was an incredible read. Junger explores several aspects of combat in an objective, but very caring way. Clearly, he thinks- a lot. Clearly, he developed a strong bond with the men. Clearly, he was able to describe war, and its impact, raise questions, but not pontificate. I thoroughly enjoyed this.
