Roger the Chapman arrives in the village of Totnes, where he hears the frightening tale of a marauding band of outlaws which has been terrorizing the town and who are accused of murdering two missing children. But something about the tale doesn't ring true. Another 15th century murder mystery solved by the traveling saleman.
