I was not able to finish this book because it irritated me so much. I made it 145 pages before I was disgusted with Dru that I had to put it down.

*Dru curses. A lot. Every other page it seems she says or things "goddamn". I don't mind some cursing, but it was fairly ridiculous.

*Dru calls everyone her own age "kid", which I guess is supposed to make her sound world weary, since she knows about the "real world" and everyone else lives in the "normal" world. But when she complains about people in a coffeshop who are talking on their cell phones, and it's obviously meaningless and frivolous (because, again, they don't know about the "real world"), I wanted to punch her.

*She is also racist. A secondary character is half-Asian, and she constantly refers to him as a half-breed. She even went so far as to say that he was lucky to not get the eyes most "half-breeds get stuck with."

I do not care what happens to Dru in this universe. At all.
