Although this one is better than her last book, I am beginning to think that Landvik has run out of stories. This one just drones on...and on. I found myself scanning pages, trying to find a bit of the old fun. Candy moves to LA in the 70's, everyone in the apartment complex knows each other and hangs out together, plenty of names, not much story.Then Landvik jumps the shark and throws in a facsimile of the Playboy Mansion. I gave it 200 pgs. because I had fond memories of her earlier books, but there are too many good stories to waste my time on one that I have to push myself to finish.
