A wonderfully written continuation of the Blood Rose Trilogy and the Wilkins' family (gosh, I love those Wilkins brothers!). Molly and Hank--wow, what a great couple! They are the epitome of "still waters run deep." Open Country is a deeply engrossing tale--I was hooked by the first page--with characters that come alive in the imagination. I couldn't see how Kaki Warner could top Brady and Jessica in the first book, Pieces of Sky, but Hank and Molly are right up there with them. I'm a sucker for the strong, big, quiet type of hero; put him in the early American West, and for me that's a combination that can't be beat. Terrific story and absolutely worth 4 stars!
