Something about Vera Stanhope stories that make them seem dark. This one is no different. The mystery is good. I could really feel the 'strangeness' of the characters. I really had no idea who the killer was. After I found out there had been some clues that could have led me to the correct solution. (The Vera Stanhope on the cover does not resemble the Vera in the book.) Recommend.
