Kat Martin brings us another of her paranormal adventures. The characters are very well drawn and the story could have come from today's headlines. I enjoy the depth to the characters and the story is focused on the heartache this family has endured. I loved it.
Autumn Sommers is a school teacher and part time rock climber. She teaches a class at her gym on rock climbing after school and on weekends. She is very busy but not to busy to dream. She is haveing a recurring dream when she sleeps, a little girl is tempted away and abducted from her yard. Autumn has had this type of dream once before, and two of her best friends died in a car wreck. Knowing this dream will come to pass she begins to search for the victim. However, she finds that this abduction happened twelve yrs ago and convincing the child's father to trust her and open himself up to hope is a hard job.
Ben McKenzie is a self-made millionaire, and since his daughter was lost he and his wife have divorced, and he has thrown himself into that business. Now Autumn won't leave him alone, and he has come to accept the death of his child. Reopening those old wounds to find her a fake, after his money would kill him.
When they finally reach a compromise the story takes off and never stops. This is a high action ride and I loved the story. Kat Martin is becoming one of my favorite authors. Do not miss this book.
