I have lots of Julie Garwood books on my keeper shelf, but sadly this won't be one of them. There's really no suspense because you know who the threat is throughout the book. I also just couldn't understand the heroine's naivety/lack of self-respect. Does she really not think she's having a relationship with the guy she's having sex with regularly? There is a fun Pretty Woman feel with fabulous hotels and a ball gown, but I would have preferred reading one Garwood's historical novels to this.
