Chapters are Mother Love, A Time to be Close, A Time to Let Go, Body Image, Competition, The Other Girls, Surrogates and Models, Men The Mystery, The loss of Virginity, The Single Years, Marriage The Return of Symbiosis, A Mother Dies A Daughter is born, The cycle repeats. Many reference source notes. This is life span psycholgy in a story form. Every female can relate to sections of it, Men would gain from it. I rate this highly. It's an older book, but not necessarily dated.
