MIDNIGHT OIL - Karen Kendall's AFTER HOURS trilogy/mini-series, Book #1

Former football player Troy Barrington wants to open a sports store in a shopping mall he owns and has to break one of the current leases. After Hours Salon and Day Spa is his choice, but he has to find a legal excuse to force out the business. Manager and massage therapist Peggy Underwood has decided to take a year off from men. When she meets the hunky Troy, she forgets her resolve and falls back into her old pattern of following her instincts without thinking.

Midnight Oil, by Karen Kendall, is a cute story with a satisfying subplot involving girls and sports, but Peggy isn't as sympathetic a character as the heroine might be, and the writing doesn't sparkle.

Note: After Hours #1: MIDNIGHT OIL, After Hours #2: MIDNIGHT MADNESS, After Hours #3: MIDNIGHT TOUCH
