I like the overall concept of the father who wants his sons happily married, but this book had a lot of violence against women and sad female relationships in general (babies given up for adoption, downtrodden women, women with secrets). The lead couple gets their happy ending, but overall this book was less happy than what I look for in my escapist romance fiction. There is some good action sequences if that is what you're looking for.
