David Bell is a "new to me" author and I enjoyed this easy to read mystery. Most of the characters are likeable, even though I had some suspicions about a couple of them I tried to relate to. Later one I found out why.
Nick can't get over his only true love, Marissa, who died in a fire 20 years ago during college days. He seems to see her everywhere, and one day he thinks he really sees her in a grocery store. He approaches her, but she runs away, The next day he finds out the girl was murdered, and this starts a 20 years mystery of what really happened to Marissa.
The plot is a little unbelievable but I liked it anyway. Except for one missing link, the ending was predictable.
