My review for this book is going to be pretty biased. It has been 6 years since I was diagnosed with PCOS, but I believe I've had it since my early teens. I have always been a curvy chick, not fat, just pleasantly plump and I could stand to lose 20 lbs. I have spent what feels like my entire adult life trying to lose those 20 pounds. I've never been one to follow fad diets, but over the years I have tried to establish healthy eating patterns and an exercise program to help me shed pounds. Nothing worked. Any average Jane knows that it is very difficult to lose weight and keep it off; with PCOS it is about a gazillion times harder. Since receiving this book 4-5 months ago I have lost 12 pounds, kept it off, and seen a significant reduction in my symptoms. I am one pleased gal! I would recommend this book to women diagnosed with PCOS and women just wanting to lose weight. Unfortunately I cannot put it back into the PBS system because it is that valuable to me. I encourage anyone who feels like they are at the end of their rope with PCOS, buy this book! If you can snag it here on PBS from another member that's great, but it is worth spending money on.
