I especially liked one aspect of this book. The hero is a famous novelist who was attacked by a crazed fan, leaving him with horrible scars and other medical problems. The thing I liked about this book was the hero's insecurites about his looks. It is so typical to see female character's driven by insecurties about looks, but you almost never see it about a male character. Usually the man is pushing for sex, and the woman is hesitating because she thinks she doesnt look pleasing. In this novel, the woman is pushing for sex and the man is reluctant because he doesn't want to reveal his flaws.
This was a good read, and not so typical for Harlequin Presents. That, however, is a good thing in my opinion because reading a book that is too "formula" driven can sometimes be a bore!
