Pratchett's Discworld novels can be hit or miss for fans. They're all entertaining, but some might be more entertaining than others. "Interesting Times" was a definite hit for me. This is another Rincewind book, which means the luggage is never far behind. It also features Cohen the Barbarian, and the other Unseen University Wizards, along with some other old favorites. New characters were also featured which I really enjoyed.

Part of what made this book for me was that it was set in the Agatean Empire. It was a good change of pace, and a lot of colorful characters/scenery was introduced. The Morporkian's interpretation of this new culture was funny, and got a lot of laughs.

I think my favorite parts of this book involved Cohen and his horde of Barbarians, and their interactions with their scholarly companion. Their back and forth interactions really kept the pace going and was just plain funny.

The book did drag a bit about 3/4 of the way in, but it picked back up again in no time.
